Job summary

Vicwest Roofing is seeking a Roofing Crew Assistant to join our growing team across Ballarat and Geelong. You'll work alongside experienced roof plumbers on quality residential projects, gaining hands-on experience across roof plumbing, Colorbond roofing and wall cladding.

This is more than a labouring role—it's a genuine trade pathway with above-award pay for the right person, and a supportive team environment with opportunities for progression and an apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Great attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable outdoors.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Construction experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced roof plumbers on residential projects
• Loading, unloading and moving roofing materials
• Preparing tools and materials for the crew
• Assisting with Colorbond roofing and wall cladding
• Keeping work areas clean, safe and organised
• Helping the crew keep projects running efficiently
• Learning roofing skills and industry practices on the job
