Job summary

Local Workforce Hire is seeking General Labourers and Casual Trade Assistants for ongoing, varied work across construction, landscaping and industrial sites in Rockhampton region. Immediate starts with competitive hourly rates and weekly pay.

Opportunity for ongoing casual assignments with the potential to transition to permanent positions and benefit from company support and PPE policy. Reliable candidates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant.
• Construction White Card is required.
• A current Driver Licence and reliable transport (highly preferred).
• Ability to perform physically demanding work.
• Reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople on site across a variety of industries.
• Support site preparation, material handling, and cleaning.
• Participate in warehouse fit-outs, shopfitting, and demolition tasks.
• Help with general labouring duties as required.

What You'll Be Doing

Every day is different, with opportunities to work across a variety of industries includeing:

• Commercial and residential landscaping
• Residential and commercial construction
• Warehouse fit-outs and pallet racking installations
• Shopfitting and carpentry projects
• Demolition and strip-out work
• General labouring across manufacturing and industrial sites
• Site clean-ups and final cleans

Typical tasks include:

• Site preparation and clean-up
• Wheelbarrowing materials
• Digging and trenching
• Lifting and carrying materials
• Packing and stacking
• Assisting qualified tradespeople
• General labouring duties as required

What We're Looking For

To join our team you must have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience in general labouring or as a Trade Assistant
• Construction White Card

• Reliability and punctuality

PPE Requirements

You must supply your own PPE, including:

• Steel-capped boots
• Safety glasses
• High-visibility clothing
