Job summary

Australia Post in Canberra is seeking a Van Driver to safely operate a company van, collect mail and parcels from a range of locations, and sort items back at the depot.

You’ll be supported by experienced senior drivers, with opportunities to develop your capability, confidence and career in transport and operations. A safety‑minded team and flexible hours help you balance work and life.

Qualifications

• Hold a full or probationary Australian driver’s licence.
• Hold a valid Forklift Licence.
• Safety‑focused and able to pass driving assessment.
• Reliable and flexible, with the ability to work additional hours when required.
• Detail‑oriented and consistent, taking pride in getting the job done right.
• Comfortable handling mail and parcels up to 16kg as part of daily work.
• Meet our safe working load requirement of 130kg or less.
• Keen to learn, develop skills and progress your career in transport and operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van to collect mail and parcels from multiple locations.
• Unload and accurately sort mail and parcels, and perform daily vehicle safety checks.
• Be supported by experienced senior drivers to build capability and confidence.
