Job summary

Sutherland Shire Council is seeking a Road Broom Driver to help keep our streets and public spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll operate mechanical road sweeping equipment across local streets, town centres and busy precincts, working both independently and as part of a safety-focused team.

The role is permanent full-time (38 hours per week), requires an MR Driver Licence, and prior experience with medium rigid vehicles or similar equipment.

Qualifications

About Us:

At Sutherland Shire Council, we're committed to creating clean, attractive and welcoming public spaces for our residents and visitors. Our Public Presentations Services team plays a vital role in maintaining the presentation of the Shire through street sweeping, cleansing and other essential services that help keep our community looking its best.

Your Impact:

You'll operate mechanical road sweeping equipment to help keep our streets, town centres and public spaces clean, safe and welcoming. Working independently and as part of a team, you'll deliver high-quality services that make a visible difference across the Sutherland Shire.

What You’ll Bring:

• Current MR Driver Licence (essential)
• Experience operating medium rigid vehicles or similar equipment

Experience operating road sweepers or similar machinery will be highly regarded.

• Package: $67,397 to $71,439 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation.
• Hours of work: Permanent full-time position 38 hours per week 9 day fortnight.
