Your Role in the Unit

• Deliver evidence-informed nursing care to older adults presenting with complex neuro behavioural and mental health needs within an inpatient setting
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, and monitor treatment outcomes
• Provide responsive, recovery-oriented interventions that uphold consumer dignity and family involvement
• Support junior staff and students through mentorship, contributing to a culture of shared learning across NALHN's OPMH service

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in mental health nursing, with exposure to older persons, dementia, or neuro-behavioural presentations highly regarded
• Sound understanding of the Mental Health Act and relevant legislative frameworks applicable in South Australia
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team across rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe care consistent with SA Health's care standards
• Strong documentation skills and confidence using clinical information systems within a SA Health environment

To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
