Job summary

PX Resources is seeking a hands-on Risk & Governance Officer to join its governance and risk function in Sydney. The role covers risk management, compliance, governance, assurance and process improvement, with exposure to quality, safety and environment standards.

You'll work with stakeholders across the business to identify risks, strengthen controls and support continuous improvement initiatives in a not-for-profit context.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience across risk, compliance, governance, QA or assurance.
• Attention to detail with a curious, proactive mindset.
• Strong written and verbal communication across stakeholders.
• Genuine interest in not-for-profit work.

Responsibilities

• Own intake, triage, investigation and resolution of complaints, incl. escalation.
• Support enterprise risk management activities, risk registers & reporting.
• Assist governance, compliance and assurance across the organisation.
• Support audits, assurance reviews and continuous improvement.
• Help maintain policies, procedures, frameworks and governance docs.
• Support ISO quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks and strengthen controls.
• Assist with broad governance reporting requirements.

Our client is an established not-for-profit with a strong social and economic purpose. They're looking for a Risk & Governance Officer to join a broad governance and risk function.

This is a hands-on role with exposure across risk management, compliance, governance, assurance and process improvement.

It would suit someone who is curious, proactive and willing to learn, with a genuine interest in working within a not-for-profit organisation.

• Support enterprise risk management activities, including risk registers, assessments and reporting

• Help maintain policies, procedures, frameworks and governance documentation
• Support compliance with ISO standards across quality, safety, environment

What we're looking for

• Circa 2-3 years' experience across risk, compliance, governance, quality assurance or assurance
• Strong attention to detail, with a curious, proactive and willing to learn mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working across different stakeholders
• Genuine interest in working within a not-for-profit and purpose-led environment
