Job summary

AKD is seeking a Group Risk & Compliance Manager to lead the Group's risk framework and embed disciplined governance across our Colac or North Lakes operations. Reporting to the CFO, you will drive end-to-end risk workshops, produce Board papers, and oversee insurance programs while partnering with Site leaders to strengthen risk culture.

This role suits a commercially minded professional with tertiary qualifications and proven experience in risk, compliance and governance within manufacturing

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in risk management, insurance, compliance and governance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
• Industry experience in processing/manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own AKD’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and provide training.
• Lead end-to-end risk workshops, documentation, and final risk profiles.
• Compile Audit & Risk Committee materials and draft Board papers on schedule.
• Support crisis simulation exercises and updates to the Crisis Management Plan.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an astute, self-motivated person to join our team in the position of Group Risk & Compliance Manager. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with Site Managers, Group Functional Managers and Site Leadership teams, the role plays a key part in strengthening and advancing AKD’s Risk Management Framework. The role will support a proactive risk culture across the group, embed effective risk management practices and support growing risk awareness.

This position could be based at either our Colac or North Lakes Support Offices, and flexible working arrangements (including part time) will be considered for the right candidate.

The Group Risk & Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

• Ownership of AKD’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework including provision of support and training.
• Leading end-to-end risk workshops, including facilitation, documentation, and final risk profile preparation.
• Manage compilation of Audit & Risk Committee and draft Board papers within required timelines.
• Support crisis simulation exercises and updates to the Crisis Management Plan (CMP).
• Leadership of the Group’s insurance program.

In order to be considered for this role you will:

• Be a driven self starter, who is commercially astute
• Be suitably tertiary qualified
• Proven experience in risk management, insurance, compliance and governance.
• Relate well to, and engage with, a variety of stakeholders.
• Have experience in a processing or manufacturing environment (advantageous)
• Be able to communicate effectively across the entire organisationincluding facilitating and presenting.
