We’re committed to fostering a culture where every voice matters, all perspectives are welcomed, and individuals are empowered to own their responsibilities.

About Role

As Risk & Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding these values. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing our risk management and compliance frameworks, ensuring robust governance and quality management and helping to embed a risk-aware culture throughout the organisation. Reporting directly to the General Counsel & Head of Corporate Operations, you will provide expert advice on risk and compliance matters to senior leadership and the Board’s Finance, Risk & Audit Committee.

This position will have the opportunity to shape the Risk and Compliance function through the vision set by the General Counsel in achieving best practice compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, continuous improvement, and monitoring of risk and compliance frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate strategic, operational and regulatory risks and implementing a robust risk and compliance register.
  • Develop policies and procedures to support risk governance and compliance.
  • Coordinate incident investigations and drive remediation, with a strong emphasis on learning and accountability.
  • Support both internal and external audits and leading the three lines of defence for risk management.
  • Maintain a clear and up-to-date risk register and report regularly to senior management and the Board.
  • Run risk awareness and training programs across teams to foster a genuinely inclusive, risk-aware culture.
  • Advise business units in a respectful, collaborative way — making risk understandable and actionable.
  • Lead and mentor the team.
Who You Are (Skills & Experience)
  • Significant experience; 5- 7+ combined years in risk management, compliance quality management and/or governance roles.
  • Strong understanding of risk governance models, including first, second, and third line of defence.
  • Proven experience implementing risk frameworks and compliance programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (industry-specific).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk quantitatively and qualitatively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — you can explain risk in business terms.
  • Experience coordinating incidents, investigations, and audits.
  • Ability to lead and influence but also operate independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Governance or related field.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Professional certifications; ISO 31000
  • Experience in internal audit or working with audit committees.
  • Experience in not-for-profit sector in similar/relevant roles.
Why Join Us
  • Be a strategic partner: work with senior leadership and the Board.
  • Influence risk culture: design systems, lead training, and shape our approach to risk.
  • Competitive remuneration and benefits including salary packaging
  • Flexible and supportive work environment.
  • Access to salary packaging options to increase take-home pay.
  • Work with a passionate, values-driven organisation committed to social justice and inclusion.
