Job summary

Vocus is seeking a proactive risk management professional to co-ordinate, monitor and promote risk management and insurance processes across the business. You will support the development, implementation and direction of the risk framework and business continuity operations.

You will report into the GM – Group Risk and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust risk governance across telecommunications and technology domains.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Risk Management, Accounting, Technology or Law.
• 2–4 years’ experience in risk, internal audit, insurance or business resilience.
• Ability to influence and manage change to drive risk management outcomes.
• Multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience in telecommunications or technology sectors handling personal information.

Responsibilities

• Support the Group Risk team to achieve strategic objectives and liaise with risk stakeholders.
• Review, develop and maintain the Risk Management Framework, policies and processes.
• Support the insurance program: renewals, claims, and data requests.
• Produce high-quality risk, insurance and business continuity reports for the Board sub-committee.
• Provide training and technical support on risk, insurance and continuity strategies.
• Develop tools to enhance risk management and business continuity processes.

Reporting into the GM – Group Risk, you will co-ordinate,monitorand promote Risk Managementand InsuranceProcessesacross thebusiness, and supportthedevelopment, implementation, and direction ofVocus’RiskManagement, business resilience and insurance framework, and ongoing operations of the risk management function.

Responsibilities

• Supportthe Group Risk team inachieving strategicobjectives, ensuring effective risk management for theorganisationandliaisingwithkey risk stakeholders
• Assist in the review, development and maintenance of the Vocus Risk Management Framework, policies and processes
• Support the Risk team in maintaining Vocus’ insurance program, such as managing the collection of renewal information, managing all claims, and responding to internal information requests on insurance related items
• Contribute to developing high quality reports for Risk, Insurance and Business Continuity for the Board Audit and Risk sub-committee
• Assist in providing training and technical support regarding risk management, insurance and business continuity strategies and programs
• Develop and utilise technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of risk management, insurance and business continuity processes.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Risk Management, Accounting, Technology or Law
• 2-4 years’ experience within risk, internal audit, insurance and/or business resilience, preferably working with clients to advise and implement solutions to business risks
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, influence and manage change to help drive effective management of risk, achieve insurance and business resilience outcomes
• Superior multi‑tasking skills and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to adapt and use new technologies and tools in the business context
• Industry experience in telecommunications, technology or other sector working with personal information.
