Kinexus is seeking a TSPV-cleared Enterprise/Business Architect for a Federal Government client in Canberra. The role is an on-site 12-month contract with potential extensions, based in Canberra (ACT) and does not offer clearance upgrades.

You will map capabilities to value, enable decision making between strategy and technology, implement lightweight governance, and grow the architecture practice with tangible outcomes.

Job description

Our Federal Government client is seeking TSPV-cleared Enterprise/Business Architects to help bridge the gap between their strategic goals and the technology they build. You will play a key role in transitioning the agency from fragmented, project-specific architecture to a capability-led strategic model where technology investments are clearly linked to the business value they deliver.

On offer is an initial 12-month contract with 2 x 12-month extensions. This role will be based on-site in Canberra (ACT), and does not offer the opportunity for candidates to upgrade their clearance.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Map Capabilities to Value: Collaborate with various teams to develop and maintain a practical business capability map. This won't be an academic exercise; it will be used as a living tool to identify gaps, balance and prioritise investments, and ensure we aren't building overlapping or redundant systems.
• Enable Better Decision Making: Provide the "connective tissue" between business strategy and technical design, ensuring that when we invest in technology, we can clearly articulate which business outcome is being improved.
• Pragmatic Governance: Help establish lightweight architecture guardrails and assurance processes. The goal is to reduce technical debt and risk by ensuring technology efforts align with the long-term vision, rather than creating a bottleneck for delivery.
• Build the Practice: Gently incrementally evolve our EA maturity by introducing and maintaining the right tools and habits. You will advocate for the value of business architecture by delivering quick wins and tangible visibility into how our technology supports our enterprise.
