Job summary

Gilmour Space Technologies is seeking an RF/EMC Test Engineer II to join our team in Queensland, Australia. This role focuses on environmental testing of major assemblies and installation of instrumentation to support rocket development.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in RF/mechanical systems, teamwork ethos, and NV1 clearance eligibility. The position involves operating test stands, safety procedures, and collaboration across the engineering team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with mechanical or RF systems.
• Teamwork orientated attitude.
• NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate environmental testing for major assemblies as directed.
• Install instrumentation, including strain gauges, thermocouples, and pressure transducers.
• Complete mechanical setup of test stands, including electrical, pneumatic and fluids connections.
• Complete all processes to a high degree of quality/standard.
• Operate control software to operate test stands and vehicle systems.
• Assist with major lift operations, including rigging and guiding crane lifts.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and instrumentation as needed.
• Provide feedback and lessons learnt to ensure improvement of test facilities.
• Adhere to standard operating and safety procedures to ensure compliance at all times.
