Amalfi Pizza & Pasta is seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager / Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Silkstone store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the store team, maintaining high customer service and product standards, managing stock and inventory, monitoring sales and store performance, coordinating staff rosters and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the store.

This is a hands‑on management position suited to an experienced retail or store manager who can lead a team, manage competing priorities and deliver strong commercial and customer‑service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures and ensuring the store operates efficiently.
• Lead, supervise and support store employees to maintain high standards of performance, customer service and productivity.
• Recruit, train, coach and develop team members and provide ongoing guidance to improve performance.
• Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels according to trading requirements.
• Monitor sales performance, store targets and key performance indicators and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability.
• Manage cash handling, point-of-sale operations, daily transactions and reconciliation procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stocktakes and coordinate ordering and replenishment to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Liaise with suppliers and relevant management regarding product availability, stock requirements and deliveries.
• Monitor wastage, stock usage and operational costs and implement appropriate cost‑control measures.
• Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, merchandising and product display standards.
• Ensure products and services are presented consistently with the business’s quality and customer‑service standards.
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and resolve issues where appropriate.
• Monitor customer service standards and encourage the team to provide a positive customer experience.
• Analyse sales and operational information to identify opportunities for improving store performance.
• Ensure employees follow company policies, procedures, food‑safety requirements, workplace health and safety requirements and applicable legislation.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operational issues and take appropriate action to maintain smooth store operations.
• Build positive relationships with customers, suppliers and team members.
• Report store performance, staffing, stock and operational matters to business management.
• Assist with implementing business strategies, promotions and initiatives designed to increase sales and improve store profitability.

About You

• Previous experience in retail management, store management or a comparable senior team leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience supervising, training and developing employees.
• Strong leadership and team‑management skills.
• Experience preparing staff rosters and coordinating daily staffing requirements.
• Experience managing sales targets, budgets, costs and store performance.
• Experience with stock control, inventory management and ordering.
