Job summary

The Salvation Army Burpengary Salvos Stores is seeking a talented Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and deliver an inspiring in-store experience for customers and the community. This is a permanent part-time role (25 hours per week) located in Burpengary, QLD.

You will assist with cash register operation, donation processing, merchandising, and delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales is preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to deliver outstanding results in a rewarding, complex retail environment.
• Aligned with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hands-on with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collect, sort and price donations in store.
• Assist in development and coordination of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Display stock in correct departments following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.
