For The Love of Gold in Hobart is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to deliver an exceptional in-store experience at our premium jewellery boutique. You will greet customers, assist with product selection, answer queries, and process sales with accuracy and care.

The role emphasizes presentation, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising, plus collaboration with the jewellers and workshop. A minimum of two years in a customer-facing retail role is preferred; weekend shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a customer-facing retail role.
• Interest in jewellery industry and premium service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keen eye for detail and high presentation standards.
• Experience with social media and marketing is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive store culture.
• Flexible to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays.
• Australian work rights are required for this position.

Are you passionate about customer service and delivering an exceptional shopping experience? We are looking for a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to join our premium jewellery store team in the heart of Hobart. This is a casual position, with fulltime or flexible hours available for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

• Providing exceptional customer service and a premium in-store experience
• Assisting customers with product selection, answering queries and completing sales transactions
• Consulting with customers on jewellery repairs, liasing with jewellers and providing correct and succinct information on job packets as requested
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and visual merchandising
• Processing cash and card payments, and managing the till
• Restocking and replenishing store inventory as required
• Adhering to store policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the business
• Social media marketing and visual representation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role, preferably in the jewellery industry
• Minimum of 2+ years retail experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with customers and provide exceptional service
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation
• Experience with social media and website interaction, photographic abilities and/or marketing talents
• The ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive store culture
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays, as required
