Job summary

Australia Post in Warragul, VIC is seeking a Retail Postage Sorter to help keep Australians connected by sorting mail and parcels and supporting daily post office operations.

This fixed-term role runs for 3 months initially, at 20 hours per week, mainly 8:00am–12:00 noon with occasional afternoon rosters. Training is provided on commencement in role at Post Office, with a supportive team environment.

Job description

Working with our customers at Australia Post isn't just about helping Australians post, shop, bank or pay bills. That’s a big responsibility, but you're the go-to teams with the know-how, delivering essential and excellent service for people every day.

• Fixed term - 3 months initially
• 20 Hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Shift time: predominantly 8:00am - 12 noon (with availability to be rostered on occasional afternoon)
• Supportive training provided on commencement in role at Post Office
• Pay Rate $29.25 per hour increases to $31.27 per hour after 3 months + 12% Superannuation

As our Retail Postage Sorter, you’ll play an important part in keeping millions of Australians connected. As you’d expect, plenty of mail and parcels comes through our Post Offices and delivery facilities every day - and our mail sorting teams make sure every delivery gets where it needs to.

You’ll also need to

• Call upon your memory and hand-eye coordination while sorting
• Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail and parcels regularly and stand for your shift
