You will provide high-quality dispensing, counselling and primary health care services, collaborating with GPs and allied health professionals to deliver patient-centered care and ensure safe, effective medication use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy completed and registered with AHPRA.
• At least 4 years' experience in retail pharmacy responsibilities.
• At least 4 years' experience in pharmacovigilance and ADR monitoring.
• At least 4 years' experience using dispensing software and POS systems.
• Demonstrated customer service and pharmaceutical counselling experience.
• Attention to detail and precise record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality dispensing, counselling and primary health care services.
• Collaborate with GP's and allied health professionals for patient-centred care.
• Dispense prescriptions per Pharmacy Board regulations; supervise dispensing tasks when rostered.
• Offer medicines information and advice on medication use.
• Maintain high customer service standards in a timely manner.
• Engage in clinical interventions, medication management, health promotion and screening.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal medication use during dispensing.
• Record clinical interventions using Guild Care software.
• Provide opioid replacement services in participating pharmacies.
• Support staged supply requests per guidelines and ensure HIC compliant dispensing.
• Record and report any errors or ethical breaches related to the pharmacy.
• Assist in dispensary stock control and fridge temperature checks as needed.
• Manage pharmacy stock ordering and receiving per in-store guidelines.

The Role

This role is a full time position with an annual salary set between $90,000 to $105,000 plus superannuation. The role is based in Tamworth, NSW.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality and efficient pharmacy services including dispensing, counselling, information provision and primary health care
• Provide collaborative and patient-centred care through engaging and working with GP's, other allied health professionals, health care providers and the community
• Dispense prescriptions in accordance with Pharmacy Board regulations, utilising dispensary assistants process the routine elements of dispensing, where these staff are rostered in the pharmacy.
• Provide medicines information and advice on optimal medication use.
• Ensure a high level of customer service in a competent and timely manner.
• Actively engage in providing and promoting professional services such as clinical interventions, medication management, health promotion and screening services.
• Maintain constant vigilance for patient safety and optimal medication use when dispensing and providing medication.
• Intervene when required to avoid medication mishap or to improve patient health outcomes. Record clinical interventions using the Guild Care software.
• Provide opioid replacement services (in participating pharmacies).
• Provide a staged supply service on either prescriber or patient/carer request in accordance with guidelines.
• Record and complete all dispensing in accordance with the HIC requirements.
• Report any and every error or discrepancy or breach of ethics that may occur in relation to the Pharmacy
• Assist in the maintenance of dispensary stock control by regularly checking dates, the rotation of stock and recording of fridge temperature, when required.
• Ordering and receiving of pharmacy stock following in-store guidelines

Requirements

• Successful completion of a Bachelor of Pharmacy
• A current registration with AHPRA.
• At least 4 years' experience in fulfilling similar responsibilities in a retail pharmacy setting
• At least 4 years' experience in pharmacovigilance in monitoring and managing adverse drug reactions
• At least 4 years of proficiency in pharmacy dispensing software and point-of-sale (POS) systems
• At least 4 years of experience in providing customer service and pharmaceutical counselling
• Attention to detail and precision in record keeping
• Demonstrated experience working in fast paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously and in a face-paced, pressured environment.
• Ability to contribute ideas, demonstrate initiative and manage change.
