Job description

PetO, Australia's Largest independent Dog and Cat Store, has arrived to Queensland!

Currently recruiting for our Capalaba and Macgregor stores!

Love working in an energetic and fun environment

Interact with Animal Loving Customers - everyday

PetO, Australia’s largest independent pet retailer, is thrilled to expand nationally and bring our passionate pet care to VIC! Founded in 2007 in NSW, PetO has become a major player in the industry with the recent acquisition of beloved brands like Best Friends, My Pet Warehouse and Our Vet.

This is an exciting time to join us on our journey! PetO is looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to help drive the success of our stores. This is a customer-focused role for people who truly love engaging with pet parents, talking about pets all day, and going above and beyond to help.

We are proudly adoption first. You won’t see live animals for sale in our stores. Instead, you’ll partner with local rescues and shelters, and support community events.

And the best part? Our customers. Pet parents are genuinely some of the most passionate people you’ll meet. You’ll spend your day greeting, chatting about pets, seeing (and cuddling) dogs, and occasionally meeting some delightfully quirky pets too — because our stores are pet friendly.

What’s in it for you?

• Staff discount across the group
• Birthday gift!
• End of year / Christmas celebrations
• A fun, energetic and supportive team culture
• Genuine career progression and access to development into leadership roles
• A positive retail environment... with the bonus of daily dog cuddles!

With the stores conveniently located, you will have the opportunity to work close to home reducing your need to sit in traffic each day, you’ll see lots of friendly faces, excited fur babies and be part of a fun team.

About you?

• A genuine animal lover
• Ideally have retail experience with an outstanding “customer first” attitude
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Must be able to work weekends
