Job summary

MSWA in Shenton Park is seeking a Residential Neurological Nurse to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents with neurological conditions including MS, MND, Huntington's, Parkinson's and more. You will join a multidisciplinary team, develop and review care plans, coordinate clinical services and lead Care Support Workers.

Based in our new 20-bed facility, you will receive comprehensive neurological training, ongoing professional development and support to maintain quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualised care plans.
• Review and update clinical assessments and care plans to ensure best practice care.
• Deliver clinical care including medication administration, wound care, continence, stoma and enteral management.
• Provide clinical guidance, supervision and support to Care Support Workers.
• Liaise with GPs, pharmacists, specialists and allied health professionals regarding resident care.
• Facilitate referrals and support a multidisciplinary approach to care.
• Manage clinical supplies, medical consumables and equipment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
