Job summary

UniLodge Living Group is seeking a Community Relations Manager for UniLodge Perth Central. You will lead wellbeing initiatives, mentor Residential Advisors, and create engaging programs that foster a welcoming student community.

You'll bring empathy, strong communication, and a passion for wellbeing. This on-site role supports peak student periods with dynamic team collaboration and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• A people-focused leader with empathy and strong communication skills.
• Experience in wellbeing, empathy and mental health literacy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during peak periods (O-Week, exams).

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of programs and events that foster community engagement and student wellbeing.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate Residential Advisors to deliver high-quality support.
• Monitor resident welfare and provide guidance, referrals, and connection to university/local services.
• Build a positive community culture promoting belonging, safety, diversity and mutual respect.
• Maintain collaboration with university departments, contractors and internal teams to deliver outcomes.

About The Role

Passionate about building community and supporting student success? As our Community Relations Manager (internally known as Residential Life Manager), you will create a welcoming, inclusive environment where residents feel connected and cared for. Take the lead in wellbeing initiatives, mentor a team of Residential Advisors, and bring our community to life through meaningful programs and events at our new building, UniLodge Perth Central.

At a Glance, You Will

• Oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of programs and events that foster community engagement, wellbeing, and student success.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate RAs to deliver high-quality support, build positive relationships, and uphold community standards.
• Monitor resident welfare, provide guidance and referrals, and work closely with university and local support services to ensure holistic care.
• Build a positive community culture that promotes belonging, safety, diversity, and mutual respect among residents and staff.
• Maintain effective communication and partnerships with university departments, contractors, and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and community outcomes.

About You

You’re a people-focused leader who thrives in a vibrant, community-oriented environment. You bring empathy, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing.

You’ll Also Have

• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• A valid National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
• Experience leading, inspiring, and developing teams – you know how to bring out the best in others
• Previous experience in a similar role, with a solid understanding of wellbeing, empathy, and mental health literacy
• Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to stay on top of competing priorities during peak periods like O-Week, exams, and student intakes
