Job summary

Done Right Electrical is seeking a licensed Residential Electrician in Wetherill Park, NSW. The role is full‑time and on-site, focusing on residential installations, upgrades, repairs and fault‑finding with emphasis on safety and quality customer service.

You will read job sheets and wiring diagrams, deliver accurate documentation and communicate clearly with homeowners about work scope, timeframes and any changes. Experience in solar or EV chargers is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Must holdCurrent Australian electrical licence and residential experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read job sheets, wiring diagrams and scopes; document work accurately.
• Excellent communication with customers; build rapport on-site.

Done Right Electrical is seeking a licensed Residential Electrician to join our growing team in Wetherill Park.

This is a hands‑on role for an electrician who takes pride in getting the job done right the first time. You’ll complete residential installations, upgrades, repairs and fault‑finding while delivering safe, high‑quality work and exceptional customer service.

About the role

Working from job sheets, scopes and quotes prepared by our sales and office team, you will:

• Complete residential electrical installations, upgrades, repairs and fault‑finding
• Install and wire switchboards, circuits, lighting, power points and safety switches
• Confirm the scope of work with customers before starting
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently
• Communicate clearly with customers about the work, timeframes and any changes
• Identify additional work or variations and report them to the office team
• Maintain accurate job records, photos and completion documentation
• Use job‑management systems to update work and communicate progress
• Keep your vehicle, tools and stock organised and job‑ready
• Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical standards, including AS/NZS 3000
• Leave every worksite clean, safe and tidy

The core focus of the role is electrical installation. However, if you enjoy speaking with customers and identifying additional solutions while on‑site, we’ll support you to develop those skills. Training in sales and customer conversations can be provided.

About you

You’ll be a confident, personable electrician who genuinely enjoys working with people. You’ll have the gift of the gab, be comfortable chatting with customers in their homes and take pride in building strong relationships through great communication and service.

The electrical work is essential, but so is the customer experience. We’re looking for someone who can explain solutions clearly, identify opportunities to help customers and represent Done Right Electrical professionally on every job.

You will bring:

• Current Australian electrical licence
• Proven residential electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, codes and safety regulations
• Confidence reading job sheets, wiring diagrams and scopes
• Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build rapport
• A friendly, outgoing personality and genuine enjoyment of customer conversations
• Confidence identifying additional work and discussing suitable solutions with customers
• A consultative, relationship‑focused approach to sales—no pushy sales tactics
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a close‑knit team
• Confidence using computers, smartphones and job‑management software
• Reliable transport to customer sites across Smithfield and surrounding areas
• A commitment to safety, integrity and customer satisfaction

Experience in solar installations, EV chargers, energy‑efficiency upgrades or other emerging residential technologies will be highly regarded.
