Job summary

Development Objective is seeking a Civil Designer Engineer to work full-time on-site at our Gold Coast office. You will prepare civil design drawings and documentation for residential and subdivision projects, coordinating with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and soil testers to deliver practical, buildable outcomes.

The role requires a solid grasp of local planning schemes and standards, proficient use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight

Qualifications

• Strong civil design skills in subdivision and residential infrastructure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret survey plans and soil test reports.
• Knowledge of Gold Coast / QLD planning schemes and council requirements.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong drawing accuracy.
• Effective written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams.
• Civil Engineering degree; professional membership is an advantage.
• Experience in residential developments or light gauge steel integration is beneficial.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on-site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil design drawings and documentation for residential and subdivision projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors and soil testers.
• Ensure designs comply with standards, codes, and local council requirements.
• Perform site assessments and review survey and geotechnical data.
• Develop efficient road, drainage, earthworks and service layouts.
• Support design reviews and respond to RFIs.
• Assist with construction support and process improvement.
• Communicate with stakeholders to keep projects on schedule.
