Job summary

PetroChina International Investment (Australia) Pty Ltd in Brisbane, QLD is seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to lead reservoir modelling, simulation and development planning activities from our Brisbane office. You will coordinate third‑party services, ensure technical integrity and timely delivery of project milestones across the coal seam gas assets.

The role requires a Master's in petroleum or geological engineering, proficiency with Eclipse or Petrel RE, and strong collaboration

Qualifications

Master's degree in petroleum engineering, geological engineering or related discipline.
Proficiency with reservoir simulation software such as Eclipse or Petrel RE.
Strong understanding of reservoir mechanics and phase behavior.
Experience with pressure transient analysis.
Competency in reserves estimation methodologies and volumetric assessments.
Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee third-party service providers for CS gas reservoir modelling and development plan preparation.
Act as technical management focal point, engaging with shareholders and coordinating with the operating company.
Track and analyse daily CSG production performance and organize reservoir studies.
Prepare technical management reports, presentations and data for reserves re‑estimation and performance evaluations.
Undertake additional technical coordination activities, including evaluating new technologies.
