Job description

Product Marketing Specialist – 4WD Supacentre

We’re 4WD Supacentre — the home of Adventure Kings and one of Australia’s leading retailers of 4WD, camping, touring and outdoor adventure gear.

We’re a fast‑growing business built around great‑value products that help Australians get outdoors with confidence. With an expanding product range, retail network and e‑commerce presence, how we communicate our products to customers is just as important as the products themselves.

We’re now looking for a Product Marketing Specialist who can take detailed product information and turn it into clear, compelling and consistent messaging that customers understand.

The Opportunity

Working closely with our Product Development team, you’ll be the link between the people developing our products and the teams communicating them to our customers.

You’ll take product features, specifications and technical information and translate them into meaningful customer benefits, strong selling points and clear reasons to buy.

From packaging and Visual Merchandising through to our website, e‑commerce, marketing and content, you’ll help ensure every product tells the same clear and compelling story.

This is a great opportunity for someone who understands both products and customers and knows how to simplify complex information without losing what makes a product valuable.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Partner with Product Managers to understand new and existing products, including features, specifications, use cases and competitive advantages.
  • Translate technical product information into clear, customer‑friendly benefits and key selling points.
  • Define target customers, product propositions and key reasons to buy.
  • Develop product and range comparisons to clearly communicate positioning.
  • Create consumer‑facing messaging for packaging, cartons, POS and Visual Merchandising.
  • Establish a clear hierarchy of product benefits, features and specifications.
  • Develop product descriptions, benefits, use cases and comparison information for our website and e‑commerce channels.
  • Create Product Marketing Briefs for new launches, providing a single source of truth for customer‑facing teams.
  • Brief Marketing, E‑commerce, Social Media, Content, Retail, Visual Merchandising and Training teams on new product messaging.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality and Compliance teams to validate technical information and product claims.
  • Maintain consistent product messaging across all customer touchpoints.
  • Review existing products and ranges to identify opportunities to improve how we communicate their value to customers.
About You

You’re someone who can get into the detail of a product and then step back and answer the most important customer question: “Why should I buy this?”

You understand how to turn specifications and technical language into messaging that is simple, accurate and commercially compelling. You’re comfortable working across multiple teams and can balance creativity with strong attention to detail.

You’ll Bring
  • Experience in product marketing, product management, brand, retail marketing or a related role.
  • Strong copywriting and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify technical or detailed product information into customer‑friendly messaging.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs, product positioning and value propositions.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple products, priorities and deadlines.
  • Consumer product, retail or e‑commerce experience is highly regarded.
What’s in It for You?
  • Join one of Australia’s leading adventure and outdoor retailers.
  • Work closely with Product and customer‑facing teams and have a direct impact on how our products go to market.
  • Help shape the customer story behind a growing range of Adventure Kings products.
  • Exclusive employee discounts across the Adventure Kings product range.
  • Be part of a fast‑moving and growing Australian business where your work is visible across retail, digital and product channels.

We’re passionate about products, understand customers and know how to turn technical information into messaging that makes people want to buy, and are eager to bring your expertise to the team.
