UNSW Sydney's School of Materials Science and Engineering invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow to advance superconducting materials research using an MBE-STM system and related devices. The role focuses on developing superconducting quantum sensors with emerging quantum materials.

Successful candidates will hold a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, demonstrate a strong publication record, and collaborate across disciplines while contributing to high-impact research outputs.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or related field with a strong research background.
• Proven ability to conduct high quality academic research with limited supervision.
• Experience in cryogenic measurement, quantum devices, nanofabrication and scanning probe techniques.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to collaborative research to enhance research outcomes in the discipline.
• Conduct research and enable teams to produce publishable scholarly output.
• Undertake projects under guidance of a research leader and develop research activities.
• Disseminate research outcomes through appropriate channels.
• Engage in discipline-appropriate research activities and data collection.
• Present at conferences/workshops as required.
• Assist supervision of research students where required.
• Maintain the MBE-STM facility.
