Job summary

The University of Sydney is seeking a Research Enterprise Support Officer to provide high-level administrative and operational support to strategic research programs within the Business School. This fixed-term, full-time role is based at the University and involves coordinating governance, communications and logistics across the research enterprise.

You will support projects, events, and hubs, maintain records, and contribute to reporting, budgeting and quality assurance.

Full time fixed term until 31/12/26 Opportunity to support the Deputy Dean (Research) and Research Services team on programs of research and strategic research initiatives at the Business School HEO 5 Base Salary $93,345- $104,515 p.a. + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Research Enterprise Support Officer provides high-level administrative and operational support to strategic research programs, initiatives, and stakeholders, ensuring the seamless coordination of research activities, governance, communications, and logistics across the Business School's research enterprise.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • coordinate and support research projects, initiatives, and programs through effective administration, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
  • organise research events, workshops, training sessions, and meetings, including logistics, communications, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
  • provide operational support for Research Hubs, including member onboarding, event coordination, record management, and responding to enquiries
  • prepare and distribute research communications, reports, presentations, and updates to support the School's research community and strategic objectives
  • assist with research administration activities, including reporting, budget tracking, funding scheme processes, compliance documentation, and research awards programs.
About you

Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience in research administration, higher education, or a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships while exercising tact, discretion, and professionalism.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience interpreting data, preparing reports, and supporting evidence-based decision-making.

Experience working in a research-focused environment, with an understanding of research processes, literature reviews, and academic engagement activities
