Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a permanent part-time Research Coordinator to advance research capability, mentor clinicians and students, and coordinate clinical research activities across Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford. Working with the Research Director, you will lead planning and delivery of clinically relevant programs, foster partnerships and drive evidence-based practice across Metro North Health.

Responsibilities

• Assist Research Director with coordinating the clinical research program, and specific clinical research projects, having significant scope and clinical importance to Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate and Metro North HHS.
• Identify research projects, lead major reviews, and write guidelines and standards with minimal supervision by a more senior position.
• Work collaboratively with other multidisciplinary researchers across Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate and Metro North HHS, with health care consumers, and with other internal and external stakeholders in the leadership of service-wide, multidisciplinary, quality improvements to research and clinical practice, shaping service delivery across the continuum of patient care.
• Assist Research Director with determining and leading research planning and research activities at Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate.
• Provide leadership in developing medical, nursing, and allied health practitioner professional competence and clinical practice standards both within and outside the Metro North HHS.

About the role

The Research Coordinator plays a key role in advancing research capability, innovation and evidence-based practice across the Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate. Working closely with the Research Director, this position provides specialist research expertise and leadership to support the planning, development, coordination and delivery of clinically relevant research programs and projects.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Assist Research Director with coordinating the clinical research program, and specific clinical research projects, having significant scope and clinical importance to Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate and Metro North HHS. The outcomes of the clinical research program should influence the knowledge base of professional disciplines, clinical processes, standards of clinical practice, and service delivery.
• Identify research projects, lead major reviews, and write guidelines and standards with minimal supervision by a more senior position.
• Work collaboratively with other multidisciplinary researchers across Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate and Metro North HHS, with health care consumers, and with other internal and external stakeholders in the leadership of service-wide, multidisciplinary, quality improvements to research and clinical practice, shaping service delivery across the continuum of patient care.
• Assist Research Director with determining and leading research planning and research activities at Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford Clinical Directorate.
