Job summary

The Kids Research Institute Australia is seeking a Research Assistant to support a project examining the impact of perinatal dissociation and birth trauma on mothers and infants in the first two years of life. Based at Perth Children’s Hospital, Nedlands, this is a full-time role for an initial 1-year period.

You will contribute to ethics submissions, participant recruitment, data analysis, and dissemination of findings, with opportunities to work across multiple projects within the Healing

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in health science or related field.
• Experience in mental health research, preferably in child/youth or trauma areas.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience managing databases and data collection software.
• Ability to work with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Responsibilities

• Assist ethics submissions and reporting for maternal/infant studies.
• Support recruitment and retention of study participants.
• Conduct data analysis including a scoping review and thematic analysis.
• Contribute to dissemination of outputs (journal articles, presentations).
