Job summary

Capital Executive Search is helping a private equity backed renewable energy business source an Associate to join a high-calibre investment team in Sydney. You will build and maintain financial models, analyse contracts, and support debt financing decisions to move projects through development, financing and construction.

With 2–5 years in a relevant role and strong PF modelling skills, you will contribute to transaction materials and investment papers while growing ownership of deals.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in a developer, IPP, infrastructure fund, bank, or advisory role.
• Strong project finance modelling skills. PF model case study is part of interview.
• Knowledge of the Australian electricity market is a plus; others welcome.
• Comfort working with contracts and transaction documentation.
• A clear communicator who builds good working relationships across a business.
• Capacity and appetite to grow; team fit matters.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining financial models to underpin investment decisions, valuations and scenario analysis.
• Supporting debt financing processes, from model work to lender materials and process management.
• Analyzing contracts and helping shape the team's view on risk and return.
• Assisting with evaluation of acquisition and partnership opportunities.
• Preparing investment papers and transaction materials for senior decision-makers.
• Coordinating with wider business to align analysis with commercial strategy.
