Our Riverina Plant is currently recruiting a Render Operator to join our team in a full-time capacity. Your key responsibilities will include operational control of render labouring functions including control of first grade tallow quality and meat meal and blood to specification.
A render operator in a beef processing plant is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment that transforms animal by-products into valuable materials such as fats and proteins. This role involves managing the rendering process, ensuring machinery runs efficiently, performing quality checks, maintaining a clean work environment, and strictly following safety and food safety standards.
We operate 4 days a week and offer two shift options:
Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimizing stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.
Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.
