Job summary

Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) invites applications for a Renal Transplant Surgical Registrar at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide. You will care for renal and pancreas transplant patients under supervision, teaching medical students and contributing to audits and research.

This is a 3-year term with potential placement within SA Health afterwards. Full-time or part-time options may be considered, with a seven-day roster and strong focus on professional development and teaching

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
• Eligible for general Medical Board registration
• Completed recognised intern training
• Apply surgical skills appropriate to your level of training
• Communicate well, work in teams and support clinical teaching

Responsibilities

• Provide renal and pancreas transplant care under supervision
• Work with multidisciplinary teams and document patient care
• Teach medical students and support junior medical staff
• Contribute to renal transplant research activities
• Participate in surgical audit and morbidity and mortality review
