Job summary

Kollab Recruitment Group is seeking a Relief Manager for a permanent role in a remote mining village in SA. The position uses a FIFO 8/6 roster with flights, accommodation, meals and uniforms covered while on site.

You will take full charge of operations, budget, and relationships on site during rotations. The ideal candidate has a chef background, strong P&L management skills, and experience supervising labour in hospitality or remote site operations.

Qualifications

• A trade background as a chef is essential.
• Experience managing a P&L, food costs and rostered labour in hospitality, hotel management or remote site operations.
• The ability to walk onto a new site and get across it fast.
• A manual driver's licence and forklift ticket will put your application ahead.

Responsibilities

• Stepping into full operational and financial control of the village at short notice.
• Owning the site P&L - labour, food costs, the lot - for the length of your rotation.
• Leading the on-site team and keeping the safety culture tight from day one.
• Running the accommodation booking system (VAMS, SAMS or RMS).
