Job summary

VetNow Kenya is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance the telehealth platform. The role is a six-month contract-to-hire, with daily EST check-ins and the possibility of extension or full-time employment.

You will work with CTO and Cloud Ops, focusing on PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, AWS, and integrations with Zoom, Twilio, and Stripe. Remote or on-site work is available, with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency with Laravel 11 and PHP.
• Strong JavaScript skills and AWS experience.
• Experience with mobile-responsive design and third-party integrations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate new features for the telehealth platform.
• Refactor codebase to improve performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
• Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
• Mentor other developers and coordinate with contractors.
• Manage deployment processes and cloud operations with the CTO.
