Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design, build, and scale AI infrastructure powering products used by millions. This fully remote, flexible contract role emphasizes autonomy, clean code, and impactful engineering.

You will tackle architectural challenges, work with Python/TypeScript/Go/Java, and own components end-to-end, collaborating asynchronously with ML researchers and product managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java, or similar.
• Experience deploying backend services and APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written communication and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade AI infra.
• Write clean, tested, and performant code.
• Build APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect scalable solutions balancing speed and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot issues across distributed systems and cloud infra.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and PMs.
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership.
