Job summary

Mediix is seeking Registered Nurses for remote contracts across Emergency Care, Theatre, ICU, Medical, Surgical, and Renal specialties. Roles are short-term contracts with 4-12 weeks, offering a competitive base rate up to $85 per hour, plus penalties and super.

Positions may include accommodation covered or subsidised and rotating rosters. We value experienced nurses with strong clinical reasoning, evidence-based practice, and current AHPRA registration ready for remote or area-specific

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing qualification or equivalent.
• AHPRA registration current with NO restrictions or conditions.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in specialty area.
• Postgraduate qualification in specialty area eg ED, ICU, Theatre.
• Evidence of prior service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs upon admission and during care.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessment data, treatment goals and preferences, collaborating with patients and families.
• Administer medications safely and accurately according to orders and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Evaluate patients' progress toward goals and modify care plans as needed.
• Collaborate and communicate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
• Communicate patient information and handoffs clearly during shift changes.
• Understand and apply patient safety standards and quality frameworks.
