Job summary

Jobgether SRL seeks a Product Engineering Lead for Keet, based in Australia, to lead API and frontend engineering teams building a privacy-focused peer-to-peer consumer product. You will partner with product leadership, translate roadmaps into viable technical initiatives, and guide teams through complex decisions with an emphasis on local-first architecture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software engineers delivering consumer-facing products.
• Strong product sense and ability to identify high-value opportunities.
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript and React for frontend decisions.
• Solid understanding of distributed and local-first systems and offline-capable behavior.
• Ability to collaborate with product leaders and contribute to strategy, not just execution.
• Proven leadership in setting engineering standards and improving team execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead API and frontend engineering teams, remove blockers, ensure delivery momentum.
• Maintain high engineering quality: performance, reliability, maintainability, clean APIs.
• Own technical design of features and API boundaries between core and frontend.
• Foster collaboration between API engineers and specialized teams on architecture and changes.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate roadmaps into viable initiatives.
• Advise on scope and approaches to improve feasibility and impact.
• Incorporate distributed-systems perspectives in product decisions and P2P tech.
• Encourage rapid experimentation via AI-assisted development and prototyping.
• Define team objectives, priorities, and success metrics; mentor engineering leads.
