Job summary
Queensland Health is seeking a Nurse Grade 6 leader to strengthen nursing capability across remote facilities in North West Queensland. You will drive professional development, support clinical practice, and partner with the remote facilities leadership to build a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
You will oversee nursing staff across Normanton, Doomadgee, Mornington Island, Burketown and Karumba, contributing to better health outcomes for remote communities while aligning with the
Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening including Criminal History checks.
- National Police Certificate required for aged care facility work.
- Vaccination or immunity evidence may be required.
Responsibilities
- Support professional development and clinical capability of nursing staff across remote communities.
- Foster a culture of learning, excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing – Remote Facilities and the Professional Practice Support Unit.
- Contribute to better health outcomes for remote communities.
