Job summary

Wiluna Remote Community School seeks a dedicated Health and Physical Education teacher to foster strong relationships with students, families and colleagues. The role focuses on safe, inclusive learning environments and practical, engaging lessons aligned with WA curriculum and local Martu cultural knowledge.

The successful candidate will contribute to whole-school approaches and pursue ongoing professional growth, with a 36-month fixed-term, full-time contract commencing Term 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have valid work rights for the term.
• Be prepared to obtain a WA Working with Children Check and a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Health and Physical Education lessons that build positive relationships.
• Create a safe, inclusive learning environment that supports social and emotional development.
• Develop trauma-informed practice and collaborate with nearby schools and communities.
