Job summary

The Ord Valley Aboriginal Health Service (OVAHS) in Kununurra, WA, invites a General Practitioner - AOD to join our team on a full-time basis. You will deliver high-quality, culturally safe healthcare across general health and AOD services, working with a multidisciplinary team in a remote community.

You must hold RACGP or ACRRM, have 5+ years experience, and provide current indemnity, AHPRA, Working with Children Check, Police clearance, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• GP qualification with RACGP or ACRRM and minimum 5 years experience.
• Experience or training in addiction medicine relating to alcohol and other drugs.
• Evidence of current indemnity insurance.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Current WA Working with Children’s Check.
• Current National Police Clearance within last 3 months.
• Current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver holistic, culturally safe general health care with AOD focus.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for early intervention and prevention.
• Provide patient-centered care and support community wellbeing.
• Develop plans to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal communities.
