Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA) is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Compliance Officer to provide governance across export controls, customs and freight within a highly regulated Defence environment.

Based at the Fortitude Valley office, you will advise senior leadership and partners across technical teams on compliance risk and regulatory requirements, helping programs run smoothly while maintaining rigorous controls and responsive governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• You're an experienced compliance, Global Trade or legal professional who translates regulatory requirements into practical governance frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Law or another relevant field is required.
• 6+ years of directly related experience in Global Trade, Customs or Freight regulatory frameworks is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complex compliance matters and drive corrective actions.
• Strengthen Global Trade policies, procedures, training and assurance frameworks.
• Manage risk assessments, audits and compliance improvement initiatives.
• Navigate export/import authorisations, permits and licences.
• Support supplier export-control compliance and denied-party screening.
