Partner Company in Australia seeks an experienced Finance & Accounting Expert to design complex benchmark tasks for FP&A, reporting, auditing and reconciliations. This remote, independent contractor role emphasizes professional judgment, clear instructions, and rigorous evaluation.

You will develop scenarios, source supporting materials, and ensure tasks are unambiguous and assessable. Flexibility, strong English writing, and a track record in finance are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in FP&A, financial reporting, auditing, reconciliations, or related field.
• Experience developing or applying structured review standards (audit programs, checklists, rubrics).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze across multiple documents.
• Excellent analytical thinking and attention to detail; translate judgment into evaluation criteria.
• Strong written English; produce precise instructions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic, multi-step finance and accounting tasks based on practical workflows including FP&A analysis, reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
• Develop clear task instructions and objective grading rubrics for consistent evaluation.
• Create challenging scenarios requiring professional judgment and careful interpretation of sources.
• Prepare or source supporting materials such as spreadsheets, ledgers, financial statements, and policy docs.
• Review tasks for clarity and gradability, flag ambiguous items.
• Deliver approved tasks on schedule with quality and consistency.
