Job summary

LoadSpring Solutions Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator to monitor, maintain and support the company’s database portfolio. The role covers backup, security, integrity and availability across the environment, from upgrades to complex troubleshooting.

You will ensure performance, reliability and scalability while following governance policies and best practices. This remote NSW-based position offers flexible work arrangements and opportunities to grow within a data-driven organization.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of database administration experience in Oracle or MS SQL.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of backup, security, integrity and availability of databases.
• Proficient in database monitoring, tuning, and security access controls.
• Scripting knowledge: SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL and shell scripting.
• Cassandra experience and administration desirable.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain and support LoadSpring’s database portfolio.
• Administer backup, security, integrity and availability across databases.
• Install and upgrade database servers and tools per standards.
• Enforce access controls and monitor security.
• Monitor performance, security and uptime of database systems.
• Apply patches per security and best practices.
• Document configurations, processes and procedures.
• Maintain backup and recovery plans.
• Participate in on-call 24/7 rotation.
