Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Data Scientist with a Masters or PhD to design advanced AI data-training challenges and author rigorous ground-truth solutions. You will audit AI-generated code and outputs, identify statistical issues, and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning and performance.

This remote hourly contract role suits experts who thrive on independent, detail-oriented work. Remote, flexible hours (10–40 hours/week) with no industry experience required beyond deep data science

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field with strong emphasis on data analysis.
Deep knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, NLP, big data tech.
Ability to clearly communicate complex algorithmic concepts in writing.
Highly detail-oriented; catches errors in code and math.
Self-directed and able to work independently on technical tasks.
No prior AI training or annotation experience required.

Responsibilities

Design advanced data science challenges to stress-test AI reasoning.
Author ground-truth solutions with Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and derivations.
Audit AI-generated code, visualizations, and statistics for correctness and efficiency.
Identify and document AI reasoning failures and provide actionable feedback to improve model behavior.
