Job summary

Bechtel seeks a Contracts Specialist to support multiple contract packages through tendering, evaluation, negotiation and award, then transition to administration, change management and closeout within a Major Mining project in Australia. You will collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Operations and Supply Chain to resolve contractual issues and deliver practical commercial outcomes.

The role emphasizes initiative, accountability and strong commercial acumen, in a fast-paced EPCM setting.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Supports assigned contract packages across the full contract lifecycle, focusing initially on tender preparation, commercial evaluation, negotiation and award.
• Transition to contract administration and management, including change management, commercial correspondence, performance management and closeout.
• Navigate commercial and contractual issues with Engineering, Construction, Operations and Supply Chain to enable effective decision-making and clear contractual commitments.
• Owns contract formation, administration, and negotiation within a fast-paced, project-based environment.
