Job summary

Crafty Apes LLC in Australia is seeking a Compositing Supervisor to lead a team of compositors and ensure photoreal VFX with strong colour continuity across shows.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Nuke and 3D packages, a proven track record delivering high-quality work on feature or episodic projects, and the ability to manage deadlines and mentor artists. This is a 100% remote Australian role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred, not required.
• Minimum 2–3 years as a Compositing Supervisor.
• Expert knowledge of Nuke and 3D packages.
• Experience leading and training teams.
• Excellent communication and time management.
• Strong experience on feature and episodic projects.
• Solid understanding of colour correction and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and delegate compositing needs to the team.
• Develop workflow and pipeline strategies for artists.
• Demonstrate artistic skills and problem solving.
• Must deliver photo-real results with quick turnarounds.
• Juggle many shots to meet show deadlines.
• Take direction from the VFX Supervisor.
• Mentor artists and monitor shot progress and resources.
• Maintain professional demeanor and diplomacy.
