Service Stream invites applications for a Remote Area Nurse (RAN) stationed at Yalata Community, South Australia. The role emphasizes delivering essential primary healthcare, vaccinations, wound care, and chronic disease management to residents with limited access to medical services.

The position requires on-site work, relocation to Yalata, and participation in after-hours on-call. A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, along with remote healthcare experience, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level nursing degree or equivalent.
• REC course or emergency course equivalent.
• ALS certification or equivalent.
• Experience in remote healthcare or emergency care.
• Understanding of TGA medications.
• Cannulation and Suturing experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary healthcare, vaccinations, wound care, and chronic disease management in Yalata.
• Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care until evacuation if needed.
• Educate community on health promotion and prevention.
• Collaborate with a small healthcare team to plan and monitor care.
• Administer medications and manage storage of pharmaceuticals.
