Job summary

Intuitive Masssage in Cannonvale is seeking an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist to join our established, multidisciplinary clinic on a permanent full-time basis. You will provide targeted remedial treatments, assess progress and contribute to holistic musculoskeletal care for our Whitsundays community.

Requirements include a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy or higher, at least one year of full-time practice, and eligibility for private health fund rebates.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in remedial massage is required.
• Minimum 1 year of full-time Remedial Massage experience.
• Eligible to provide remedial massage services recognised by private health funds.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Excellent clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and obtain medical history.
• Assess posture, movement and musculoskeletal presentation.
• Develop and implement individualised remedial treatment plans.
• Perform remedial and deep tissue massage using therapeutic techniques.
• Reassess progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Advise on stretching, posture and injury prevention.
• Refer clients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Collaborate with clinic team and maintain confidential records.
• Maintain professional communication and boundaries; uphold safety.

About Us

We are an established remedial massage clinic in Cannonvale, providing professional remedial and musculoskeletal treatments to the Whitsundays community for over 16 years.

Our multidisciplinary team includes four Remedial Massage Therapists, an Osteopath and a Nutritionist, working collaboratively to support clients with musculoskeletal conditions, soft tissue dysfunction, muscular tension and movement-related concerns.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Remedial Massage Therapist to join our professional team in a permanent full-time position.

About the Role

The successful applicant will provide individualised remedial massage treatments based on client assessment, clinical presentation and treatment goals.

The role involves working with clients presenting with a range of muscular and musculoskeletal concerns and requires the ability to assess, treat and monitor client progress using appropriate remedial and therapeutic techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and obtain relevant medical and treatment history
• Assess posture, movement, muscle tension, joint function and musculoskeletal presentation
• Identify soft tissue dysfunction, muscular imbalances and movement restrictions
• Develop and implement individualised remedial treatment plans
• Provide remedial massage and deep tissue treatments using appropriate therapeutic techniques
• Reassess client progress and modify treatment plans where appropriate
• Provide appropriate advice regarding stretching, posture, movement, self-management and injury prevention
• Refer clients to other healthcare professionals when appropriate
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the clinic
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical treatment records
• Maintain professional communication and appropriate boundaries with clients
• Follow hygiene, infection control and workplace health and safety requirements

Skill & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy or higher qualification, such as Myotherapy
• A minimum of one year of full-time experience working as a Remedial Massage Therapist
• Current eligibility to provide remedial massage services recognised by private health funds
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, musculoskeletal conditions and soft tissue dysfunction
• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills
• Strong remedial and deep tissue massage skills
• Professional communication and client management skills
• Ability to maintain accurate and confidential clinical records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
