Job summary

La Trobe Financial in Sydney is seeking a proactive Relationship Manager for the Self-Directed Channel to drive client acquisitions and manage ongoing relationships with both new and existing clients.

You will engage investors through outbound calls and inbound inquiries, coordinate with internal teams to deliver excellent service, and strive to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs. Join a collaborative NSW/VIC team and contribute to growth while delivering best-in-class service.

The Opportunity

As a Relationship Manager within our Self-Directed Channel, you will play a pivotal role in driving the acquisition and management of client relationships. Your primary responsibilities will be to build quality relationships with both new and existing clients, ensuring a robust pipeline of prospective business.

This role requires a proactive approach to sales and a commitment to delivering best-in‑class service. You will be joining a dynamic team split between NSW and VIC, working collaboratively to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction and business retention
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities from both existing and potential clients to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Engage proactively with investors, focusing on outbound calls to understand their needs, while also accommodating inbound calls and in-person meetings as required.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly to ensure comprehensive account management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and support business growth.
  • Achieve and exceed KPIs related to client engagement, business development, and retention.
About You

The successful applicant will have experience in a financial services environment, ideally within a sales related role. Additional skills and experience required include:

  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about market trends and developments to provide relevant information to clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients through various methods including phone calls, in-person meetings, and emails
  • Self-driven and capable of autonomously achieving their own outcomes
  • A flexible attitude with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing workloads and tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm and a team player during times of high pressure
