Job summary

Spinner Medical Recruitment presents an opportunity at Rockhampton Hospital for a rehabilitation physician with a FAFRM fellowship to lead inpatient and ambulatory care. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary leadership in rehabilitation medicine.

You will provide high-quality clinical care, contribute to patient flow and bed management, supervise trainees, and engage in teaching and CPD activities within a major regional center.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient and ambulatory rehabilitation care

• Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution
• Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives

Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services (GARS) operates from a purpose-built 16-bed interdisciplinary facility providing inpatient, ambulatory, and outreach care across the designated region.

Opportunity Highlights

• Package up to $534k + on-call allowance (depending on years of experience).

You will

• Hold Fellowship of the Australian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM)
• Provide high-quality, evidence-based inpatient and ambulatory clinical care in rehabilitation medicine.
• Provide expert opinion in ED when required and participate in patient flow and bed capacity management.
• Provide clinical supervision for Registrars, PHOs, and House Officers, as well as teaching medical students.
• Demonstrate first-class communication, conflict resolution, and multidisciplinary leadership skills.
• Participate in research, continuous quality improvement, and college-mandated CPD.
