Job summary

IPAR Adelaide, part of the MedHealth network, is seeking Rehabilitation Consultants in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology. The role offers full-time hours in SA with support from a dedicated team and access to a broad range of rehabilitation services.

You will manage caseloads, coordinate with employers and healthcare professionals, and contribute to meaningful return-to-work outcomes while enjoying a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
• Full professional registration with AHPRA or ESSA accreditation or eligibility to obtain upon graduation.
• Experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Must have a current SA Driver’s License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Caseload management with support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
• Assist clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals and insurers for clinical updates.
• Work across schemes such as workers compensation, third party, life insurance, Comcare & DVA.
• Perform comprehensive ADL assessments to guide home/community support needs and equipment recommendations.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings and recommendations.

Some of your day to day includes:

• Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants havethe support of Rehabilitation Assistants toalleviate administrative tasks);
• Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
• Liaise with employers, case managers, medical professionals, and insurers to provide clinical updates and ensure alignment of rehabilitation goals.
• Work across various schemes such as workers compensation,compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare & Department of Veteran's Affairs
• Conduct comprehensive ADL assessments to evaluate an individual's functional abilities and support needs within the home and/or community to promote their independence. Make recommendations for equipment, home modifications, or support services based on assessment findings.
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.

You'll be a driven and energetic professional with hopefully all of the qualities below!

• Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRAor Full ESSA EP Accreditation or eligibility to obtain upon graduation
• Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded however not essential
• Fabulous communication and time management skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders
• You are someone with compassion, kindness and empathy
