Job summary

IPAR, part of the MedHealth network, seeks a Rehabilitation Consultant in Hobart to support occupational rehabilitation with clinical expertise and collaboration across employers, workers and health professionals.

You will manage caseloads, contribute to injury prevention, and deliver high‑quality reports while participating in IPAR’s innovative pain education initiatives and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Exercise Physiology or Occupational Therapy.
• Full professional registration with AHPRA or ESSA or eligibility to obtain.
• Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and time management skills, with strong client focus.
• Compassion, kindness and empathy are essential.
• Current driver’s license and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.

Responsibilities

• Case management with manageable caseloads and Rehabilitation Assistants to ease admin tasks.
• Apply clinical knowledge to improve return‑to‑work outcomes and develop education programs.
• Collaborate with injured workers, employers, and other health professionals across multiple schemes.
• Assist clients in achieving return to health and return to work goals.
• Prepare timely, high‑quality reports with findings and rationale.

Some of your day to day includes:

• Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants havethe support of Rehabilitation Assistants toalleviate administrative tasks);
• Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes and collaborating with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
• Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals and across various schemes such as workers compensation,compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
• Assisting those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
• Prepare timely, high-quality reports outlining findings, recommendations, and clinical reasoning.

Qualifications
